About
In a nutshell.
Hi and welcome to TheNextAisle, my name is Joy and this is a journey book for my ramblings, photos and the production name for my videography. To round myself up in a few words; I’m a full-time movie-lover with a snacking habit, fancy for a variety of music and a lure towards electronic gadgets.

But if you would like to know more…
I’m a 21 year old Nigerian joyful dorkette. I believe my addiction to the tv-show, “Buffy the Vampire Slayer” is what introduced me to the wonders of having a website on the internet, in 2002.
- My first website was at Yahoo! Geocities.
- My favorite personal interest used to be making fan art / vectors / layouts in Paint Shop Pro, Adobe Illustrator, and Adobe Photoshop.
- I taught myself the basics of FTP, HTML and CSS through messing around with codes and using search engines.
- I remember having sites named: Breanna’s Crib and Ecko Girl.
- At LiveJournal.com, I basically visually documented the days throughout my High School years through photo’s and later on through video’s as well.
- I came up with the name: “The Next Aisle”, with the tagline: “You Never Know What’s Next“. My blogs photos and videos were just oh-so random that the name was a perfect fit right away.
I started video editing in 2005 using Window’s Movie Maker, then Sony Vegas Movie Studio and now Final Cut Express. I taught myself how to maneuver in these programs by playing around and searching for things that I couldn’t figure out or wanted to improve on. There’s a lot more that I would love to learn. I aspire to excel in videography. My video’s can be seen here.
Life’s a journey, share the moment. Thank you for stopping by!
